Jet Ski Motor Mounts

SBT's PWC motor mounts are easy to install and are a perfect solution to old jet ski motor mounts that are corroded and have torn rubber. The metal disk will eventually corrode where it interfaces with the rubber mount as the Jet Ski is operated, specifically in salt water. In time, the bonding area will deteriorate and the mounting disk pulls out of the dampening member. In addition to this, further corrosion occurs between the metal of the motor mount and the bolts that are used to attach it to the hull. Corrosion can be normal with these components. But if you don’t address it right away, it can cause major damage to your jet ski from an uncontrolled engine.

A benefit of investing in replacement PWC motor mounts and replacing your old jet ski mounts is that the excessive vibration and movement of your Jet Ski engine will slowly degrade the rest of your driveline, bearings, driveshafts, etc. Replace any motor mounts that don't appear normal to save the rest of your driveline! Additionally, if you invest in new jet ski motor mounts before noticing any significant degradation, you can help prevent additional corrosion and vibrations from developing in your jet ski later.

SBT's brand new Jet Ski motor mounts are designed to help dampen and isolate vibration in personal watercrafts. The Jet Ski motor mounts consist of a metal and rubber dampening mount that attaches the engine to the hull. The rubber mount is tuned to dampen shocks received by the motor and the hull of the ski during operation in the water. Large displacement motors and the force from impacts received in jumping waves can cause enormous forces to be exerted onto and restrained by the motor mount. Motor mounts have a finite life, and should be replaced the first sign of any excessive movement, hardness, or separation between the rubber and metal components.
