I have 2014 sx190 with a 2020 sbt rebuilt engine. Just broke the timing chain. My question the pistons look ok except for marks where they hit the valves. Is it possible I will be ok with a just rebuilt head, or might there be additional damage to the lower end of the engine?

It is hard to say based on the info you are giving us. If the pistons only have slight marks from contact with the valves, it could be possible that a head rebuild would be fine. There is no way of knowing 100% without splitting the cases and examining if the rods may have bent, or if the crankshaft shifted during.
