What is the (VTS) Varible Trim System on the Seadoo XP Limited?

  • #2
A system consisting of;1.) a varible pivoting steering nozzle. 2.) An adjustable guide ring. 3.) An elctronically controlled servomotor. 4.) A control switch. 5.) an indicator.

This system is designed to adjust the steering nozzle up or down to move the bow of the craft up or down depending on the speed, load, and control requirements of the craft and the operator.

So, if I put someone "new" on the PWC (i.e . my wife the rookie) should I have her set the VTS at a low setting? You said it's for spped, load, and control. Am I correct in thinking that she won't be able to go as fast, which might make it a little tougher to control...since the 98 XPL is already a bit unstable?

set it to the streight position, if its all the way down, in turning sometime the craft will bite very hard and she could get flung off instead of it just spinning out

An XPL is not a "beginner" ski by any means....be very very careful!
