2003 Seadoo Sportster LE DI WON'T START HELP

So last week I go hit the button and the starter just spins so I do some reading and jump the starter solenoid and it started to crank. So replaced starter solenoid boat ran great all weekend. Now I have the same problem boat will not start when I hit the button the starter spins, when I jump the starter solenoid it starts to crank. Battery is reading 12.65 when pressing ignition button. Even swapped starter solenoid out with another new one and same thing. Checked and replaced ground to block. Not sure where to go next with it any and all help much appreciated

If your starter spins and the the engine doesn't it sounds like a Starter drive assy (starter bendix).

I just bought this ski and the maintenance light was on the guy said it just needed to be reset. took it to the lake started fine and rode well. shut it off for an hour then it wouldnt start. while trying to start it it sounded like starter was stuck it kept making noise when i wasnt pushing the button then removed lanyard and it kept doing it. it finally died everything went off. got it home and checked battery. when i put the charger on it it acted like it was trying to start..no lanyard attached and i wasnt pushing the button. its like the button is stuck or the starter and its killing the battery. does this sound like starter needs to be replaced or button?
