2002 sportster LE pre-ingnition failure pulse line pinched

After my second failure in 35 hours of the number two piston on my 947/951 carb. I pulled the engine to find the pulse line to the rave solenoid pinched and cut open. Could this be the problem causing pre-ignition on the number two piston and ultimatly the failure? The first top end was performed at the dealer after 20 hours on the boat the next failure was after 10 hours after the new top end?.

YES! It will cause a lean condition...
