  • 96 Seadoo XP bogging

I've got a 96 XP that when I first get it off the trailer it will run great for about 30 seconds then will bog down and not go faster than 10 mph. I'll ride like this for a few minutes then all of a sudden it blasts off and will be great for a while, but then boggs down again. It may work great for an hour or so, or it may start bogging down after 5 minutes. Also after riding like this for a couple of hours it seems to be fouling at least 1 of the plugs. I just rebuilt the carbs with a kit thinking that this would solve the problem, but it still does the same thing. The carbs adjustments are LOW SPEED 1 turn out HIGH SPEED closed. How should I be adjusting the low and high speed screws? Also, how should the plugs look if the engine is running properly?
    Thanks, Aaron

the low speed adjuster needs to be at least 1.25 to 1.75 turns out. HS adjuster closed.

Have you tried something as simple as snipping the sparkplug wires back for a new connection at the sparkplugs?
