I have a 2000 1100 STX D.I. with a chip in the corner of one piston. I took the cylinders out and found that there was an unusually large amount of liquid in the crankcase, and that it was that discolored green color you get when water mixes with 2-cycle oil.
I'm guessing that it blew a head gasket, in which case the problem should be fixed when I rebuild the top end...but I wanted to get any other opinions so that I don't fix the top end only to find out that something else was causing the water in the oil and I could have fixed it while I had it apart.
PLEASE...any ideas are welcome. Thanks.
